Delete your Brainnaut account and data
Two ways to delete
- In the app (fastest): deletes everything straight away.
- By email, if you no longer have the app: we delete it within 30 days.
Option 1: in the Brainnaut app
- Open Brainnaut on the parent's phone and enter your parent PIN.
- Go to Settings → Privacy & device.
- Tap Delete all data and confirm.
This deletes the data on that phone and its copy in the cloud, signs you out of Google in Brainnaut, and restarts the app. On the child's Windows laptop, uninstall Brainnaut and delete the folder %LocalAppData%\LearnToPlay to remove the copy kept there.
Option 2: ask us by email
- Email faberlumelabs@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Brainnaut data".
- Send it from the Google account you used in Brainnaut, or include the laptop's family code (shown as "Linked code" on the laptop card on the phone's Home tab, or under Parent Settings → Security & Sync on the laptop).
- We confirm by email and delete the data within 30 days.
You can also ask us to delete only some data, for example your child's quiz history, without deleting everything.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in link to Brainnaut (your Google account itself is not affected).
- Children's names, classes and boards; question sets and quiz questions; quiz scores and history; chores; play-time balances and settings; blocked hours; time requests.
- The family (if you created it) with its parents list and invite codes, and your linked devices.
- Scanned textbook photos saved on the phone.
What is kept, and for how long
- Shared family data: if another parent is in your family and you didn't create it, deleting removes you from the family; the children and devices stay for the other parent.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) contain no names or quiz content and are removed automatically after 90 days.
- App usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) are not linked to your name or email and are removed automatically under Firebase's retention settings, within 14 months at most.
- A few technical records with no names or content, such as a linked device's code, may remain until we clear them.
